Being with your friends give you and them an easy excuse to cheat on your normal healthy eating habits. We figure that if you know about these situations ahead of time you will be able to put a stop to them before they put a stop to your weight loss.
Having a friend who is packing on the pounds actually makes you 57% more likely to do the same. People look to others when it comes to portion control and the actual food they are eating. Even though you have been doing a great job of staying away from that dessert menu, you might be more likely to cave when your friend orders the chocolate truffle cheesecake.
On the other hand you don’t want to let your friends keep you from eating enough. A little healthy competition is good from time to time. If all of your friends order a salad you are probably not going to order the burger and fries. You want to be careful to make sure this doesn’t go to far. Some friends can get a little too competitive and end up eating less than they actually need.
